The International Salsa Festival in San Miguel de Allende was one of the friendliest events Carlos and I have attended in our home country of Mexico. Mario Enrique Briones, the organizer, did a great job putting all together and hosting all the instructors and dancers from out of town. Briones as well as Victor and Gaby from Salsa con Clave, and Carlos Carmona from Salsabor, made this event a success. A lot of people attended our Salsa Rhythms workshop and we got great feedback! Our software, Salsa Grooves , also had great acceptance, especially now that the new version is now in Spanish and we actually inaugurated it during this event!
We performed on Saturday evening with the rest of the performers,
followed by a great night of social dancing at La Carpa, a circus-like
place where the event took place. For Carlos and me, the best part of
this trip was to be in company of our parents. They came all the way to
San Miguel to support us and to be with us during all the event. Oh,
and also the Mexican tacos, yummy!!
