Puerto Rico Salsa Congress 2006 |
![]() Puerto Rico Salsa Open 2006 The Puerto Rico Salsa Congress was simply out of this world ! The best music, the best shows, the best dancers we've seen all in one package. The congress celebrated its 10th anniversary as it was the first salsa congress of its kind ever to take place in the history of contemporary salsa.
![]() Puerto Rico Salsa Open 2006 If you've never been to the Puerto Rico congress, we highly recommend you go to the island to see one of the cradles of salsa in its most accomplished form. In Puerto Rico, salsa is not only the music of choice, even cab drivers can tell you the pianist from La Sonora Poncena and play salsa all the time, but it is also the de facto form of dance. Here everyone knows how to dance salsa, of course! The young and old alike share this fervent passion for their music and their dance. And boy do they shake it ! Just check out out gallery for the performance by the Danzarines de Papa Tambor (featuring the famous Tito Ortos and Dicky Colon) to see a sample of the Puerto Rican flavor!
